The Fun Day at West Hay was the brainchild of Judy Clarke and organised by her and Sally Hall of Urchinwood Manor.
The superb weather contributed immeasurably to a highly successful occasion, which was supported by local and other
firms, organisations, and individuals. The beneficiaries of the money raised were Riding for the Disabled, and Above
and Beyond on behalf of the new oncology block and ward at the BRI.
There was a wide selection of stalls and activities, ranging from pony rides to helicopter flights, and rescued owls to
alpaca sausages - all against a background of some fine playing by what can only be described as a more or less legal
jazz band from London.
